Queenstown

It seems by my track record that over 2 weeks has to pass before I can blog about a trip or photos!  For Matt's birthday we decided a trip to Queenstown was in order - for no particular reason other than I hadn't been since I was about 5 I think?

As it was May the Autumn colours were beautiful.  Be warned...I struggled to pick photos so have ended up with loads!

View on the walking track from our Hotel into Queenstown
 Beautiful berries
Day 2 a trip to Glenorchy.  Amazingly cold, even colder as you walked out on the wharf over the water.

 Self portrait at Glenorchy
Just before he attempted to skim stones while I got eaten by mosquitoes.
 View over queenstown
More berries - think it must be the red colour I'm attracted to!
 Arrowtown
Day 3 Sunrise on the Remarkables - view from our Hotel
 Beautiful Lake Hayes
The road up to Crown Ranges - wonder why Matt loved it?
 Crown Ranges
Snowing ranges at Wanaka
 The lake at Cromwell

On top of the world!  (And freezing...)
Beautiful Tui in Queenstown Gardens
The lake again from our Room
Autumnal colours at Queenstown Gardens

We had a fabulous 4 days in Queenstown made even better by the fact we found a great cafe - which we frequented between each trip or activity!

You need to be able to leave comments on particular photo's.. have been waiting for updates, you're as bad as D&S...
road up to Crown Ranges looks amazing, did Amy drive..? Or was she sick..?
Something suggested but not said perhaps about the portrait from 'below' as Amy stands, alone atop the mount of (insert word).

Presume above comment is Marky Parky's. This one is from Nelson... An absolutely gorgeous part of the country! Can just imagine James Bond zipping around that windy road in his wee aston martin :)
Have no idea how to leave anything but anonymous comments on here!
