On South Sea Island - a day trip we did from Denarau, our lunchtime entertainment, singing and dancing. The Fijian people have impressive voices - no need for amplification!
The beach on South Sea Island...enough said!
Paying for coffee 'Matt Style'...tip the whole purse out and count it out...poor lady waiting!
And road works 'Fiji Style' - where you don't want cars to drive - throw around some huge rocks, branches etc to prevent cars being able to drive there!
Our second resort at Natadola
An interesting place - quirky you could say! Was a little like a retirement village - only 11 rooms so small, but the age of the average population there was over 60! But the rooms were a great size. We came back one night from dining out at 8.30pm to find ourselves locked out!
Natadola Beach
The Sigatoka Train
Little Fijian boy who was enjoying the waves
Matt's healthy diet!
The conch shell sounding at sunset
One on many sunsets - think we only missed 1 sunset in the 9 days we were there - became ritual to be sitting on the beach just before 6pm to watch it descend
Impressive surfing action by locals - the waves were huge for swimming but perfect for surfing
Enjoying Fiji life
Sunbathing Becky Styles
Bomb off the bridge of our resort
Lunch out at the next door resort - Intercontinental - was fabulous!
Wheelchair 'Fiji Styles'
Locals lined up watching the dancing from the beach!
Dinner the last night at the Intercontinental
All packed up and about to head to the airport - a great holiday had!
