Anzac Day

Here's something different other than building!!  We decided to make the most of our day off and get up and go to the Dawn Service at Auckland Domain.  It was a beautiful morning, just a few more people than in Nelson last year...

 The top of the Museum was lit up in red - it was stunning

 The Hercules flew past at the end of the service...it did take a while - we wondered if it had broken down?!

 Just as it finished and the veterans marched off - people went forward to place their poppies

 You can see I like the building by all the photos of it!

Next time I would probably get up half an hour earlier to get a bit closer - we couldn't actually see anything from where we were, but considering how many thousand attend it's kind of no surprise!

After this our day was entirely too busy - am now exhausted - but we've accomplished a bit and I've even broken the drought on scrapbooking!
