So another update on things happening around the house and garden...
Project 1: build the last lights for the entry! 55 individual pieces per light, three lights. Quite fun really and rewarding to see them come together.
Now waiting on the electrician
One he'd been we (we - meaning Kate & Matt) then began taking down the scaffolding we'd be maneuvering around for the last 2 months..
This is the before pic
And now a lobby free of timber scaffolding. Quite unique to walk up the stairs having full width!
The lights all hanging -
Project 2: a follow on from the back yard tidy up we decided to work on repairing our lawn. Began with getting rid of the pile of hard fill. The lawn before
The rotary hoeing beginning
And continued by Kate
Raking it out
Then a donkey was 'employed' to drag some fencing around trying to level it some more
Followed by 4m3 of compost / top soil!
Hard at work..he he
At the end of the day - some dirty tootsies
Further help arrived - picking up the bits
And this is the current state - almost ready for sowing
Matt had 3 days off - the last of school holidays - and we got through a few jobs. Poor man - think he may have gone back to work for a holiday!
Kate decided to spread egg throughout the oven and then proceed to clean it - oh whoops.
Found some beautiful freesia's and blossoms
Kitchen almost there - just cover to go on range hood and tap to go in.
Kitchen lights going now - make a cool pattern on the wall
And it's peony season! Yum yum.
Lettuce's going well
And Mark - lastly for you! The washing line pad - works a treatAnd entry - much better than gravel and reinforcing steel!
So when do you come next...? Have a few more jobs...!!

It's looking good, it's good to see how it's changing. Can't wait till that grass comes up!! I'll be able to run my blistered hands through it.
Looking good! Can't wait to see it, Matt might have the job list finished by December?
