I can't believe we're only days now away from Christmas.  I wrote a list on Sunday night of things I needed to achieve in the next 3 days...it was rather daunting and wished I hadn't started it!

Anyway a little update of things around here recently:

Mr James loves paper, and can make an awesome mess!

 My gentle giant Boss cat, is a hunter.  Not impressed.  Rather freaked me out when he brought this in.  So took him outside, but in he came through the cat door again.  So took him outside again - all the while nervous he would drop it!

 But no - it took it out and proceeded to eat its head.  Had to share - so gross.

 Have been enjoying some gorgeous Christmas lillies, from my birthday last week.  Thanks Matt!  This one pictured is actually from my garden, I was given a potted one last year by a student which I planted and now have 3 stems growing!

And my brithday present (or part!)  Thanks mum & dad and Matt, and happy Christmas to Matt & I!  Got to love the combined presents - but love it.

 So to the deck - which is nearly done, just some decking timber to the steps to go.  We're loving it!

 Outside our bedroom - hmmm

 Raspberries nearly topping out the wires, berries beginning to form

 The Christmas tree - going for the minimalist look, decorations are soooo expensive!!

 New wall decal / art, bit of colour for the stairs

 And now to recent baking...peanut brittle, hmmm

 And tried my hand at nougat at well, rather yummy if I do say so myself!

So now only 6 days till we fly to Nelson and 9 days till we go to the Bach - bring it on!
