Happy Anniversary

It's been 6 years!  Matt took us out for a gorgeous meal and managed to keep it a secret!  We went to the gorgeous French Cafe and enjoyed a 6 course tasting menu...(warning 6 photos to follow of yummy food!)
Actually missed photos of the amuse bouche and bread...

First course a salad with tuna and swimmer crab

 Fresh egg tortellini...when cut open the perfect egg ran out!

 Next beetroot tart on caramelized onion and pastry with baked goats cheese on top

 Ducks breast for main...yum, yum, yum.  Kumara puree and mandarin reduction...

 Then poached vanilla strawberries with a rosewater granita (oops started eating before photo!)

 And lastly we swapped the dessert to be the creme brulee - and it was outstanding!

Would go back in a heartbeat - mum and dad - when are you coming up?!
