Another update today..wall all dug out
Bit more dirt shifted. Then a man from around the corner walked down to ask for several truck lots to be dumped on his front lawn! Saves a bit of dumping fees.

My goodness it's a little different. You should have kept one board from the old house and put it into the new so you could still say it's just a wee renovation. You just extended it a bit out the back and front.
So technically speaking, is there anything at all left of the old house or was "renovation" code for "demolish and rebuild" without Matt realisng what was happening until it had happened?
