Chocolate & Truffle Tasting Notes

As requested my contribution to the wedding planning:

Chocolates & truffles for tasting:
Left to right: Hazelnut Truffle,  Orange Chocolate, Strawberry Creme, Raspberry Crunch, Mint Truffle
In addition Classic Chocolate Truffle, not pictured

First tasting: Hazelnut Truffle
Tasting notes:
Subtle flavour, milky and creamy, very gentle flavour.

To be honest, a little boring and safe, not very exciting or memorable.

Rating: 2/10

Next up: Classic Chocolate Truffle
 Tasting notes:
Sticky fudgey interior, delicate but significant chocolate flavour

A great classic chocolate flavour, not overpowering

Rating: 6/10

Next up: Orange Chocolate
Tasting notes:
A bursts of real orange tantalises the senses, intense flavour but subtle at the same time

A chocolate that demands attention but is gentle at the same time

Rating: 8/10

Next on the list: Strawberry Creme
Tasting notes:
Soft interior, creamy with floating pieces of strawberry, milky after taste

Great flavour of real strawberry, really lip smackingly good

Rating: 5/10

Next up: Raspberry Crunch
Tasting notes:
Nice crunch to the freeze dried raspberry pieces, excellent raspberry and chocolate after taste

Not as creamy or soft as others, but gorgeous

Rating: 8/10
Last on the list: Mint Truffle
(Aargh forgot the Mint Truffle interior photo)

Tasting notes:
Fudgey, chewy interior to the truffle, gentle mint after taste

Brings connotations of a pleasant end to an evening with the refreshing yet delicate mint flavours

Rating: 7/10

So there goes my duty done.

Matt
